Our Resin Division
Amino Resins are the condensation products of amino compounds with aldehyde. The most common and widely used amino compounds are urea and melamine while the most commonly used aldehyde is formaldehyde. The condensation products in soluble state are generally referred to as amino resins and have thermosetting properties.
Urea formaldehyde (UF) resins are used in diverse application environments:
- They are widely used to produce engineered wood products such as plywood, particle board, oriented strand board (OSB) and medium density fiberboard (MDF) and are the most cost effective bonding systems available for these applications.
- UF Resins are also used to produce slow release fertilizers,
- As binding agents in the pelletizing process when producing animal feed pellets
- As an effective and inexpensive alternative in the foam insulation industry
- In the corrugated cardboard manufacturing process to impart enhanced water & crush resistance
Our resins are successfully exported to five continents for use in two main sectors-woodworking and animal feed binding as well as for use in niche markets including foam insulation, slow release fertilizers and corrugated cartons.
